Our Story
The free spirit of africa
In June 2021, Nic Jooste, a South African social projects founder, explored Kruger Park after years of community work. The untouched savannah, inspiring sunrises, and untamed bushveld stirred a profound connection. He was home.
Nic returned with a team of experts who discovered a sensory paradise. A blend of aromas, colors, flavors, and South Africa’s unique essence, known as Ubuntu – I am because we are. Inspired by Kruger’s people, cuisine, nature, and sensations, they created Selati.

TESS POSTHUMUS
Tess is Selati’s taste creator. She is a multi-awarded bartender, owning Amsterdam’s Flying Dutchmen Cocktails and Dutch Courage bars. She’s a board member of ‘Tales of the Cocktail Federation’ and (co)-owner of Perfect Serve Barshow and Amsterdam Cocktail Week
She has written three books: ‘Cocktails with Tess’, ‘Masterclass: Cocktails’, and ‘Cocktail Bible’. Tess is responsible for the development of all Selati’s (new) products, as well as our perfect serves. She is an honorary ambassador of Selati’s Kruger Park Wildlife Foundation.
